JC's Solar Power (Off Grid) Setup - Are You Ready?

JC's Solar Power (Off Grid) Setup - Are You Ready? Tube. Duration : 2.37 Mins.

Are you ready if and when the power grid goes down? Will you have running water available if you're on a well pump? Well, here's my setup and I hope it helps anyone willing to take on this project. Please be careful. The 2500W that I'm referring to is the wattage capacity of the inverter. I'm still in the process of adding more solar panels to use the full capacity of the inverter. Here's the cost of most of the items...You can probably find these items cheaper if you do some bargain shopping on the internet. 0 - Sunforce 30 Amp Digital Charge Controller 0 - Sunforce Pro Series 2500 Watt "Pure Sine Wave" Inverter 00 - (2 Qty) Sunforce 39110 123-Watt High-Efficiency Polycrystalline Solar Panel with Sharp Module 0 - (2 Qty) Solar Cable 10AWG 100ft 0 - L-Aluminum stock for frame 0 - (5 Qty) Marine Deep Cycle 12VDC 125amp hour batteries. 50 Cost so far (50 is the bare minimum). It doesn't include the cost of the nuts and bolts for the frame, and the extra misc items like wire terminals, fasteners, flexible conduit, plates, flashing, roofing adhesive, plastic sleeves, wood for the custom bench, wood screws, drill bits, etc. I went with the more expensive Sunforce Pro Series 2500 Watt "pure wave sine" inverter for the pumps that I run in my home. I didn't want to risk it with a cheaper cost square wave inverter. The AC pumps run much harder with the square wave inverters, and you can hear the annoying buzzing. The solar panels have a maximum power output ...
