Well I pulled the trigger on the Champion 73531i CPE2000i inverter generator today, twice LOL. I found them on sale for under 0 a piece at Sams Club, and the Sams Club warranty on them is unbeatable (Sam's Club Member Satisfaction Guarantee). I figured if they did not perform as needed, returning them would be a non-issue. In the video below I put a 1500watt continuous load on them with a portable space heater. At around 25ft with both units running at idle the sound was less than the sound of a lawn mower running, with one unit at 1500 watts it was still quieter. By how much, I cannot be sure as I have not mowed a lawn in years. I can tell you that with both running from inside my house I could not hear them on the other side of the wall outside. I am fairly impressed so far, I will try to get them hooked up to my pup shortly and try out the 13500btu Coleman Mach AC unit. These are labeled at 53db at 23ft, 2000watt starting, 1600watt continuous. Paralleled they are good for 3000watt continuous. From what I have gathered they lose the 200watts due to the wiring of the parallel kit being small (16ga). I really believe that these are going to be great for us. A side note, I took these to the gas station to fill them up in the back of my 4Runner. On the trip home there was not even the slightest hint of gasoline vapors.
